Done for the IchiRuki community on LJ. This went along with one of the set themes for the Spring 2006 contest, and I was thrilled that I actually came 1st seeing as how many gorgeous entries there were. I got the official animation book, but I'm giving it to Maggie and just borrowing it when I need it

SO, the theme I chose to go with was part of the lyrics to the song by Darren Hayes, "Hero"

I love the black and white opposites thing Ichigo and Rukia have going on WAY too much. Really. Where there's light there's a shadow afterall, so I think that kinda goes with the 'I am all that you're projecting' line ....Anyway, the image is supposed to be reminiscent of the first chapter where Rukia stabbed him in the throat effectively starting it all. What can I say, I like symbolism. XD;; And yeeeas, there is that blackness creeping into his eyes but I dunno if you can tell, really *snort* Interpret it whichever way you like!
