Geez, this has to probably be the most detailed piece in my whole gallery. I hope it SATISFIES YOU >> << I enjoyed the challenge though. It's still not perfect but I'm happy enough XD

Originally I was gonna go for the whole Blue Spirit/Painted Lady thing but there's been this... song. I keep associating it with these two and it demanded to be drawn out. SO HERE IT IS.

Mythology in that it depicts Zuko as the Sun and Katara as the moon, it fits way too well. D: I came up with their outfits by sort of combining all the outfits they had throughout the Avatar series with some extra flairs. Also Zuko's new crown thing is from the Sun Warriors in The Firebending Masters and the moon emblem on Katara's forehead is from her stint as the Painted Lady. Ahh you see, more references :B
